St Ives Timelapse

In April and May of 2016, I planned and shot this timelapse of St Ives. A popular tourist destination and one that has been the inspiration for all types of artists. I wanted to create something unique to show off this Cornish seaside town.

Covering well known parts of St Ives, such as the view from the Malakoff, the harbour front, and St. Nicholas Chapel. As well as including more individual elements such as the Barbara Hepworth Epidaurus and the National Coastwatch Institution building.

The story of this St Ives timelapse takes us from the late afternoon into early evening, showing the popularity of the town. The timelapse then takes us through the mostly unseen drama of the night, before ending with the tranquilty of dawn.
