Best of Houzz 2019 Winner: Design Photography

I’m extremely pleased to announce that for the third year running, I have been awarded a Best of Houzz winner in the category of Design Photography. Houzz is an online platform giving home owners ideas and inspiration while connecting them with professionals in home renovation, design and architecture.

My portfolio of interior photography has been voted some of the most popular on their site, which receives more than 40 million monthly users. Having photographed a range of properties in areas such as Carbis Bay, St Ives, and Falmouth, including houses and hotels, my work ethic is the same regardless of the size of the space I’m working in.

High quality interior photography relies on a range of elements coming together when shooting, to create an image that has character and a story to it. This includes the architectural features of the rooms, maximising natural and synthetic lighting, and finding the best angles to showcase the soft furnishings, colour schemes and finer cosmetic details. Carefully balancing each of these factors, my aim is to capture the space in a way that is inviting to visitors and inspires them to create their own unique personal spaces.

Marcus Hartwall, Managing Director of Houzz UK and Ireland said of the awards, "Best of Houzz is a true badge of honour as it is awarded by our community of homeowners, those who are hiring design, renovation and other home improvement professionals for their projects. We are excited to celebrate the 2019 winners chosen by our community as their favourites for home design and customer experience, and to highlight those winners on the Houzz website and app."
